After a hot ride in the summer I’m definitely partial to a cold IPA. Give me a New Belgium Ranger in a can or a pitcher of Terrapin Hopsecutioner or Hoplanta (to share, of course) and I call that a great day.  I guess what I’m looking for is recommendations for other IPAs (or similarly refreshing brews) to enjoy after a ride (specifically ones I can get here in GA.)

Creature Comforts Tropicalia is great, if you can find it!

      Cigar City Jai Alai

Orpheus Brewing Peace, War, Truth, Lie is a nice Session IPA

Ballast Point has a nice Session to with the Even Keel and their Grapefruit Sculpin IPA is tasty, but tough to find too.

      Now I’m thirsty…

Yes, Tropicalia is delicious! I have a 6er of Orpeheus at home, excited to give it a try.

Pretty sure the Dekalb Farmers Market has Grapefruit Sculpin now…

I like Sweetwaters 420 Extra Pale Ale as well as their IPA. They are brewed in GA. Their Hop Hash is good too.

New Belgiums Slow Ride is good… I have also been picking up their Pumpkick after a good ride now that fall is upon us in the Southeast.

Surly Furious has been what I’ve had the most of post-ride recently and I’ve been really enjoying that!

      Sailor Jerry and Coke Zero

Always beer, but I like to change it up! Two mainstays, though, are the ESB from Ska Brewing and Sierra Nevada’s Pale Ale.

Got to check out Tallgrass Brewing co. ,  ETHOS IPA 110 IBU nuff said. Their summer wheat is the Halcyon, you can really put these back after a hot long ride. and of course after a mash session at Switchgrass you should reward yourself with a few Zombie Monkey Robust Porters in the Fall, especially around a camp fire and some good vibin sounds.

Seems as though every town in the country has at least one local brewery , so I try  their product.  I do crave a root beer on the immediate drive from the trails.

It’s almost impossible to find, but if you ever get to try the infamous Heady Topper… the nectar of the New England MTB gods… you go ahead and have one!

This time of year I like founders porter or breakfast stout.

Wait, isn’t Breakfast Stout for before the ride? 🙂

I’m kind of burned out on IPA’s. Lately I’m into Full Sail Session Black Lager. I also recently discovered Eddyline Brewing Jolly Roger Black Lager. It’s incredibly tasty and comes in 16oz cans.

In fact it’s mostly water and pop, but A nice beer sure goes down smooth after a intense ride 🙂 Sunday It was a Chainbreaker IPA, which would be a bit too robust for me normally.  All time favorite of course is the rich smooth taste of Yenglings lager.

Definitely IPA. Usually Bear Republic Racer 5. If available Russian River Brewing Pliny the Elder. Also available most places Lagunitas IPA, Sumpin Sumpin, or Hop Stoopid.
