Are you using UST (tubeless) tires? I have been running UST trail tires for about 3 years, and it is time to replace my current set. I have had two different models from Hutchinson in 2.10 widths. I have wanted to try something different with a little more side knob, and after a nasty wipe out last Monday afternoon now its time. The problem I am having is I havenít been able to find anything other than the two I have already had, and a few XC race specific tires. Anyone have a suggestions?

I have been using the WTB Weirwolf 2.55 UST for a few months. They grip like no other, I have notice a bit of speed loss but the ability to stick corners and other tight manuvers, has made up for the loss for me.

I have Bontrager Jones ACX. They are not wicked expensive and have great bite. Using much of the Jones line has a good know that doesn’t wear too fast. I know it is a basic simple pattern of knobs, but they outlast my other tires and are a wide tread for tight cornering. most are tubeless ready tires.

Thanks for the feed back guys, since posting this I have found quite a few brands with good tires, yours included. When I first got the bike it came with Hutchinson Bulldog tires, I had seen a few bad reviews on them and at first glance insisted that the bike tech switch them out with the Hutch. Spiders I had been riding with on my race bike, I never tried them! I didn’t…and still don’t like the profile’s appearance.
After I posted this first message I could not wait any longer to ride again, being down to just one bike, and I took the bike and Bulldogs into have them installed. 😢
😳 Little did I know what I had been missing out on. You can’t judge the tire by it’s profile. They grip into just about anything, and most remarkable is their performance in the sand!
The only down side I have seen so far is they are wearing out pretty quickly, and a bit steep in price for only a few months use.
