http://stihltourdestrees.org/the-event/
I got excited when I read the name of this event but it turns out it’s a road ride. 😢 They’ve been running the cycling event for 20 years now and last year’s ride raised half a million bucks to plant trees and conduct forestry research. Still, it IS a 500+ mile multi-day ride in Oregon which ain’t all bad.
It’s ironic a chainsaw company would align with a bunch of spandex-wearing asphalt junkies instead of woodsy and rough mountain bikers but hey, whatever gets the job done. If they ever come up with a MTB version, who’s in with me?

Is it a relay race where the ‘baton’ is a Stihl chainsaw? 😆

Justice served!!! Dude I’m Stihl laughin’ (pun?) madd that was funny bro I’d purchase the Pay Per View on that one 😼 , But Trek7k I’m in bro, worst case for me (if it’s across the country) I’ll sign a petition or something to get it started. And I’d like to also endorse the A.S.L. (anti-spandex league) Sorry but any one who spends a sh*t ton of $$ on the way they look and shave their body hair etc is obviously OVER COMPENSATING for something. I just want to snatch ’em up by their collar and scream "YOU ARE NOT SPONSERED BY THESE COMPANIES YOU JACK ASS!!!"
I apologize for my rantings but I just can’t stand smug ass bitches 😆 😼 😆 I truely hope no ones feelings got hurt, if so call your mom she’s good for a hug to make the boo boo all better -

If that’s the case then NoVa is a hot bed for road racers and sponsership is rabid in this area(being sarcastic of course) I get what your saying but is it necessary to do the whole shaving thing and cruise around with the "I’m God of all that is 2 wheeled" attitude? If you made it to the finals of the Tour or Olympics thats one thing, if you drop 5+ grand just to bike 2 miles a week is another. This area is flooded with pizza cutter wheels and my gripe is there is paved walking/biking paths everywhere but are they used? Noooooo!! a bicycle is legally considered a vehicle when on the road way however, if the county paves nice paths and these idiots still want to dart in and out of traffic all the while only 50ft away and riding parallel with the path????? I guess I should be thankful these guys are into road racing and not on the trails
Oh and I’d like to withdrawl 50% of my statement about spandex I have to say the female of the species do spandex quite nicely….Bravo ladies 😃 -

I recently bought my 1st baggie and it came along with a Detachable liner with chamois. Got to give that pant a try, if I didn’t like it, I’ll wear a spandex shorts under the baggie

I’m currently testing some baggies from Funkier Apparel that come with a padded liner. Watch for an upcoming review on the blog.

I rode with a pair of Pearl iZumi’s for years… wore those things out, I loved them!
I wear baggies in cool weather but when it really gets hot and humid I like to be as cool as possible.

I don’t wear the spandex, ahem, mandex as an outer layer, but I do rock the baggies with liner/chamois. Our riding group refers to the chamois as the [i:2evckmz1]manpon[/i:2evckmz1].
