I’ve had several car GPS units from Garmin so I got the Edge 305 last summer. So far it has been great. Very reliable, accurate, long battery life and waterproof.

I don’t use any premium GPS service, but I do use Garmin’s own online service called Garmin Connect. Lets you upload all sorts of crap up to their side, and export your GPS tracks in google earth form, etc.

The one thing the Edge 305 doesn’t have is maps. That might be a problem.
