Todays ride was the San Juan with the lolly pop loop. Over 3000 ft of climbing and 17 miles. Great ride fell three times. No harm no foul just a little blood. Thank god for knee and elbow pads. I figure if I didn’t fall at least once I wasn’t going fast enough. Perfect weather.

Trail A and a bit of Trail C at Freedom Park. Perfect weather today for riding.

Actual ride was on a Friday this weekend, and on the road bike due to some heavy rain the night before. 102.4 miles, 5,287 feet of climbing. http://app.strava.com/activities/48470212
Hadn’t ridden most of these roads before and hit some dead ends, but it was fun!

We made a Fruita Run this weekend. Saturday was Koko Trails. Moore Fun to Mary’s to Steves to Mary’s to Horsethief to Mary’s. With backtracks and redos on parts, came to 20 miles. Was perfect except for really high winds.
Sunday fineshed up with a couple easy loops at 18 Road.

Gotta stop pausing the recording. 47 actual miles around the lake. Very flat, but very fun. Shorter version of what’s on tap for this coming weekend – about 65 miles in the same area.
Me, in Mistletoe State Park. When there’s no water flowing across the dam in the background you can ride it, but when it’s wet it’s slicker than ice.

I built trail all Saturday! And rode 2 loops of Lost Valley in St. Charles for 22 miles and 1600 feet of climbing on sunday. After my ride my girlfriend and I hiked 7 miles of Lost Valley! It was a busy weekend, but gorgeous weather here in St. Louis, MO!!

Sunday was my first ride of 2013 – it’s been a wet spring in New England, but Massachusetts is finally drying up. I got out for about an hour with a newbie friend to test the legs, lungs and bike, and was MORE than happy to go do another hour or so, but duty at home called… which was a tennis date, so that worked well, too.
I’ve got Thursday off to celebrate my b-day, and you can bet that I’ll be up at Landlocked Forest in Burlington to ride until I can’t!

As an aside, has the forum text showing up larger than normal lately for anyone else??

yes lol. it’s driving me nuts.
I competed in a duathlon Saturday at my local trails in Fredericksburg, VA but started the day with an early morning coffee run downtown by way of mtb. (thinking about making this a Saturday tradition…yes it was as relaxing as it appears…until the red eye kicked in)

A CSS change seems to have altered the text size in the forum. CTRL & + or – or CTRL & mousewheel will alter text size on the site per browser session if it bothers you too badly.

Sorry guys, we’re refreshing the forum template soon (today or tomorrow) and this is sorta the awkward in-between phase. 😀 Here’s a preview of what’s to come-

That’s funny, I was trying to figure out what I screwed up to get my font so big on just this website!

I just gave up worrying about my "time" also. I would lose a lot of mileage by hitting stop.

I didn’t ride on Saturday because I was recovering from Friday. I rode at Lake Murray State Park in OK but I forgot the sunscreen and got a decent sunburn for my efforts (still worth it though 😃).
After my day of rest and copious amounts of aloe vera on my arms, I hit Lake Norman, also in OK [i:3utz0ikn]with[/i:3utz0ikn] sunscreen in tow. Thankfully, no sunburn this time! Both trails were very good, unfortunately, I don’t have a camera so no pics from either 😢

Repost from the Endurance Training thread: ‘
Last taper ride for the Cohutta 100 was this weekend! I wanted to ride mtb, but hit the road because of a lot of rain thurs and fri. Ended up with about 63 miles, 7,000 feet of climbing, and 4 hours 20 minutes of moving time: http://app.strava.com/activities/49760891Race is next weekend! Bring it on!

rode ten miles at springhill park in barling arkansas today. it’s a fast flowing beginner ride. which works out great since i’m slow and out of shape.

Just got back from a night ride (Brush Creek, Boyd’s Gap and back). I haven’t done a light ride in ages and I really miss them. It’s like riding a whole new trail and you feel like you’re doing 20mph faster than you actually are 😀
