I am traveling up to pisgah national forest near Brevard Nc next week i was wondering what trails i should look at riding in the area.

So much out there to hit. Everything from easier groomed trails to back-woods epics that take all day. Some of the trails climb for days while others are relatively flat.

It’s easier to steer you in one direction or another by asking what type of riding you are looking for on this trip or even what type trails do you enjoy when you are riding back home?

i am trying to find some trails that have a good flow. I enjoy some technical trails i dont mind the climbing at all as long as you get some more down hill sections on the trail. I want to try to avoid that trails that are super technical the whole way but i dont mind if there are technical sections.

If you don’t mind not actually riding at Pisgah "proper", I would suggest you hit Dupont or maybe Bent Creek. The majority of the stuff at Pisgah "proper" is more technical and you will really have to pay to play on the way down. It’s worth it, but maybe not exactly what you are looking for. If you really want to get the Pisgah experience, hit the Laurel Mt or Black Mt loops. Bring something that has some suspension for the descending but remember the climbs up are long.

      +1.

      That is all 😃

Actually, I’d like to add that I highly recommend Dupont if you don’t want to get TOO gnarly. Tons of amazing trails ranging from fast and flowy to steeper and more technical. The slickrock trails (big rock, cedar rock, etc) are stunning–definitely need to ride those!
