Are dogs allowed on any of these trails?

I’m wanting to become a regular rider but don’t want to leave my pups at home all the time.

Which trails are you asking about? It depends on where you’re riding…

Some places don’t allow dogs and some places require your dog to be on a leash.  Most dogs could probably keep up on climbs but not many could keep up on long fast descents.  Most dogs could go all day in the cool weather but dogs are likely to overheat in warmer weather.   A fit mountain bike rider could probably cover 30 miles in about 3 hours but not many dogs could.  Mountain bike rides often involve riding on the road some.  Some dogs are not good at staying with their owners, wander off, and get lost easily.    Some dogs are unfriendly to other people and other dogs.  Some dogs chase wildlife and livestock.  Dogs need food and water on long outings.

If your dogs are really that well behaved and fit and you can overcome all the problems listed above, take them riding.   I’ve never owned a dog that was that fit or well behaved.  I’d rather ride without my dog and take him for a walk later.
