Hey all, I got me and GALAXY these lights tonight and from a personal perspective, they’re DAMNED impressive. They give off a HUGE amount of light in pitch black areas. We mounted our lights on our helmets and we were able to easily ride his yard trail, which is extremely dark, with zero visibility issues. We rode down the street with our lights on and it was so visible with the pure white light, even the colours from the trees and street were completely visible. These lights may have been given light reviews, but I have to say as a nocturnal person, I’ll be getting another one to mount on my handlebars. They’re so bright, both of us were actually over-impressed. Great lights for people on a budget.

While I’m not the most experienced rider around, reviewing things is something I’ve done quite a bit of, considering I’m about as hardcore a video gamer as you can get. I don’t have a lot to compare our Stellas to, but I can certainly give opinions on our lights in a near-future review. 😀

We went for a ride last night at The Rock trail… [url:1tkpz908]http://www.singletracks.com/bike-trails/the-rock-trail.html[/url:1tkpz908]
…and those lights were easily bright enough to light up every tree in your path for a good 100 feet ahead if you’d point it up a little bit from the trail.I know the trail pretty good and was able to go pretty fast once I got over the initial fear of something jumping out on the trail, which only lasted about 5 minutes but it was still odd…venturing into the dark ass woods on purpose, haha.I skipped the teeter-totter not so much because of lack of light but more because I just wasn’t feeling it coming around the corner before it but there was plenty of light for everything.

I bet we could have gotten away with riding on the low setting but when you have 120 lumens why not light up the trail and go faster?!

Chili, next time we meet up I’ll bring it along and show ya how bright it is,hopefully in the darkened campground at Santos!

Thanks again for the light Paul!

Mondai nai dayo. No problem, man. I’m glad you enjoy it. Lord knows I enjoy it as well, since you’re my only riding partner down here in Florida. You’re right, the lesser setting is fairly bright, but lighting up the trail at the full 120 lumens is much more preferable if you want to gain speed. Hell, I even made it down that rooty downhill section after the log bridge, and for the first time I cleared the roots to the left side of the trail at night where visibility was far reduced. I was pretty proud of myself for that, even though I’d tried it twice before during the daytime and didn’t do it either time. I look forward to tomorrow night’s ride we’re taking. With any luck I’ll come across something else I can conquer.

I’m glad you like the light man. I got it for you as a birthday gift. Enjoy it. 😀
