In keeping with Sumner County’s recent ranking as the third-healthiest county in Tennessee, residents in Hendersonville now have another outdoor venue to burn off the calories – a mountain bike trail built without taxpayer money.
The new bike trail is two miles long and will take about 12 to 14 minutes for most riders to negotiate, said Dave Hardin, owner of Biker’s Choice in Hendersonville, whose company built the trail with community donations.
“We’ve got it roughed in and it is rideable, but like any true mountain bike trail, it is a work of time,” Hardin said.
