ALBANY, GA (WALB) –
Members of the Flint River Mountain Bike Association are busy creating a new biking trail.The trail starts behind the Civic Center and ends at an old boy scout camp in South Albany. Members from the International Mountain Bike Association came from as far as Colorado to help build the trail. Once the work is finished the loop will be a three mile track, making it a convenient route for runners and bikers.
"We’re building an extension of the existing mountain bike trail we do have, so well have a loop out here, so people won’t be coming back and forth into traffic. So we’ll be able to host runs and bike rides for races," said Mitch Mercer.
