I’ve been riding my moms old 2005 stumpjumper, and although I’ve upgraded it a fair bit, and rebuilt the rear suspension, I don’t want to keep upgrading and old bike that I don’t even own. So would a 2015 giant trance 3 be a good replacement for $500

If it is in decent shape, that is a fair price. And I think a Trance is a decent overall ride.
