New freeride trail coming to Stub Stewart State Park, OR

Last weekend, 16 volunteers gathered for a work day, one of the last few trail-build days scheduled before the trail opens to the public on June 2.

Westside Trail Federation, Northwest Trail Alliance and the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department have forged an agreement to build three freeride trails for mountain bike riders, the first such agreement of its kind in the state parks system.

There are still four trail-build days left: Saturday and May 6, 19 and 27, all from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers are welcome. See website for more information.
