I don’t think i have ever seen anyone use these, but i was wondering if they would be worth trying. Looks like they would add a little protection and keep the stanchions cleaner.

Honestly,in a pure mtn bike sense, there just not cool. You could probably ask any shock dude at any shock company and they would say forget it,they just arent cool because they cover up the cool ass lookin stanchions those guys busted there but makin look cool plus what chili said, there just a pain anyways.I read that somwhere and if I find it again I’ll post up the link to it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I’ll pass on the stanchion boots. I kinda figured that if they worked well then more people would be using them.

I use a set of Lizard Skins, front and back when riding muddy trails. I have seen a few people leave them on all the time but for the most part I leave them off for most rides. Looks wise, they do take away from the aesthetic value of the shock and they are a pain in the a$$ putting on. But in sandy mud I figure it’s better to be safe then sorry and having to pay to rebuild a shock is something I want to avoid.
