Nice. Hope you grounded your kid for forcing you down that rock by doing it before you. Darn kids.

Just SICK bro… 😄 Next time, just manual that front end up and you will survive bro. Also, make sure you are balanced in the cockpit of the bike before bombing steeper descents, as this will give you better control, especially on FS steed. 😉

Now that’s the way to spend Father’s Day!! You know you’re still living, when you can take a hit like that.

Awesome! Way to take one for the team… well actually have your ego crushed like a bug. Sure is a lot of dirt exploding at impact. That shows how hard it was when your fork completely compressed. Thanks for sharing.

Oh no, not again! You might want to read today’s blog post on slow riding!

I read that blog and that very day had a major incident with a tree. I posted my story about my crash on another thread from revans1961 at the link below. The ironic thing about the incident is that I have been through the area I crashed at many times before without even the slightest hint of any warning or thought of it being an area to be wary of. I still do not know exactly what caused it but I can certainly come to a determination. I was going a bit faster than I usually have in the past but not by much. Mountain biking is inherently risky but the level of risk is determined by the rider and the trail. It just goes to show that accidents can happen anywhere. Even in the most innocuous places.
