Does anyone have any cool MTB tattoos they would like to post and share? Or got any good ideas for one? I’m hoping that maybe around Christmas time I can go get something cool done.

How about a singletracks logo, I’ll pay half ;)

I know some guys who have (accidentally) branded themselves with MTB art when they leaned a hot brake rotor against their leg after a screaming downhill. At least it’s free ;)

Some folks go for the bike chain wrap around the bicep or ankle but at this point it’s not too orginal. I’d be interested to hear others’ ideas…

Oh if only I could think of a place where that could go! It won’t fit in well with the rest of my plans/designs so it needs to be in a place all by itself. And with all the plans I have that leaves one butt cheek! 😛

Cool idea – I often thought of that myself. Ultimately, I decided on going for something that represented nature instead. It’s a modifcation of the Green Man and I’ll probably get it done next year. I want to give blood for awhile first, though.

What about getting a bike wheel on your shoulder cap?

Back in the day, my now X- wife and I after a day at Aptos/Soqual stoped at Marks of Art. Stood next to our bikes and marked off the chain ring marks. Went in paid our money, in 96 we were at the World cup race in Napa and some german mag photographer, took a bunch of pics. Had us posing our calves Damn he was freaking happy.

I have a brand and a tattoo – neither is MTB specific though. I do proudly wear the scars on my shins from the sometimes ‘hungry’ platforms I ride. Nothing like have drops of blood on your cranks, thats the sign of a good ride.

Oh yeah dude,or blood soaked sock’s from the blood running down the leg and getting soaked up in the sock.hahahaha.Somtime’s when the condition’s are just right and you ride platform’s,you just can’t avoid getting bloody shin’s.hahahaha,
My shin’s look like a woopty doo course from all the bmx day’s of doing trick’s and jump’s and my feet slipping off the pedal’s when landing from a wild bunny hop or jump trick and the other foot stay’s on the pedal and slam’s the other pedal into the other shin.

As for tattoo idea’s,I was thinking(not for me though, hahaha)either a sign post with your favorite trail name and maby some kinda snake or lizard(or whatever turns your crank’s)or maby a mountain biker doing your favorite thing, maby like climbing or dropping down somthing really steep or just cruising off into the sunset.???Hope it help’s dude.

So I’ve still been thinking about different designs. I’ve had a couple ideas, just gotta find the right inspiration for them. Once I do I’ll have to draw it up and post a pic.

Steve I am hoping to be good to go riding after Thursday. Finally getting into the orthopedist and hopefully getting out of the splint. I go pick my bike back up on Friday so I’m hoping to get out riding this weekend. Though I think you’re heading to Crankworx right?

      Scars are tattoos… I don’t need ink.

    • #74265

I am sorry a better way to say it is I don’t want ink.

How bout a sweet pedal bite on the back of your leg. They look like mosquito bites.
I got a random tat on the back of mine and have just been hoping I won’t brand it with a pedal bite. 😆

A couple guys got tattoos of the Evomo "Braincase" skull and cross bones. Seriously the raddest MTB art I’ve seen. I wussed out and just got the t-shirt ;)

Anyone down for this?! It would look pretty fly as just a black&grey tat! But, yes it’s my lame attempt at humor! Plus I was working on a different idea but the creativity juices just aren’t flowing so I threw this together in a minute! So forgive me. 😆

I’ve been doing the same thing and one of my Ideas was to find or makeup a cool looking tire tread & have it winding around (depending on where you put it) and maybe even add things that mean something to you around it. Almost like a trail of tread. Hope it struck up some ideas. Good luck.

P.S. Post a pic of what ever you get.I’d like to see.

That’s not a bad idea, a cool tire tread maybe starting on your shoulder or arm and winding its way down ending on the opposite calf and along the tread small tats of important things/people in your life. I’d personally go with this

Speaking of tire treads, came a crossed this belt http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?li … d=28559114

The belt is a good idea! Better to reuse then put in the dump! And it is put to good use, If you biked enough to wear your tread down that much then you probaly lost some weight hence the belt. LOL

If the bicycle is an important part of your life and you’re thinking about getting a tattoo about cycling, in this article there are a number of questions you should ask yourself before you decide to take the step. Also, you will find a good amount of images to take ideas if you decide to do it.

It`s for life, and this is the first thing that you must understand. The simple truth for the future: we all change. Our consciousness, our feelings, our tastes, our ideas – everything changes. There are small light tattoos that modern lasers can remove almost to zero. However, the large fill is unlikely to go away. That is why the only tattoo I made and got here https://www.facefigurati.com/ was a lip tattoo. So that’s it.
