Hi guys, I’m on a busines trip in Virginia (near Washington DC) and will stay there over the weekend so I was wondering if one of you could maybe recommend me a mountainbike rental with some nice trails nearby (as I do have a rental car there I wouldn’t mind driving 1 or 2 hours to get there)

Thanks for your help in advance

      Peda,

Sorry you didn’t get the info you were looking for – I have not found a reputable business yet, most seem to rent clunkers that are at best Walmart specials for people to cruise around the sights on. But if you have better luck or bring your steed next time, there are some really great trails not to far away.

I found most of them through the trail database on this site, but by far the most diverse and entertaining is wakefield in fairfax, less than 40 minutes from downtown in clear traffic.

      Hi,
I will also be in Washington DC in the next few weeks for a few days and I am wondering if you were able to find a good rental place in DC. I heard that riding bikes is one of the best Things to do in Washington DC. I have found a couple bike rentals but the bikes do not seem like they are very good, and I would like to rent a high performance bike. Do you have any suggestions on places I should look into? Thanks in advance.

Make sure the rental steers Left and Right not just Left. Afterall it is Washington D.C. untill November! 😄 Later,
