    At his death seven years ago, Mike O’Brien bequeathed about $400,000 to Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado to fund trail projects all over the state. His trust has supported about 3 trail projects each year since then, including a $20,000 grant to extend the Upper Salt Lick trail in Silverthorne this year.

    This is pretty awesome to see! Does anyone know of other folks who have willed part of their estate to trail building efforts? Seems like a pretty worthy cause and definitely something to consider…
