What are you wearing? Baggies or lycra? Any particular brand you like, or don’t like?

I use both baggies and lycra, depending on the ride. Short rides with a more casual hang out and socialize type goal I’ll wear baggies. But for races or long rides, or if it’s particularly hot out, I wear lycra. Lycra is more comfortable over the long haul.

I use Pearl Izumi Attack lycra shorts, and also have some of their baggies that have a removeable liner. I recently picked up a pair of Fox baggies as well, but they have a built in liner. The padding in the lycra is way better than either pair of baggies.

I also had a pair of Adidas baggies and they are aweful. They have no room in the…um…frontal area, if you get my drift. And they have velcro straps that seem to get caught on EVERYTHING. I threw them away.

I’ve been a lycra rider using Pearl Izumi shorts. I’ve been out of cycling awhile and the old baggies of the day were worthless. I’d like to get some baggies with a good insert so I can stop looking like Shamu in lycra. Afterall fat people are sensative and easily damaged. 😄 Later,

I love lycra and have several pairs. By far the best I have (yet) tried are the Descente Classic Pro. They are insanely comfortable for all day rides.

I have learned to love tights! At first you feel really goofy looking like youre Buddy the Elf but once your friends are freezing cold and you are the only warm one, looks dont really matter to much! 😉

Fox Mid-Ranger baggies. Most comfortable short I’ve ever owned. They have a raised back on the waistband which makes them never feel like they are falling down and showing my crack to anyone behind me!

Fox – WHY DID YOU STOP MAKING THEM?!?!?
