Cycling train does not fit with single speeding. Have been cross training just looking for a little more

Hook up an anchor to the back of your bike and drag it around for a while, that might help 😼

      Who me?

Was looking for some ideas on training, maybe just a little change up. My body adapts real quick so I have to change every work out.

I’d disagree that training and SS’ing are not complimentary. You may have to change up your gearing from day to day for different effects and to work different energy systems, but you can still train. I keep a couple different front rings 32, 34, 38 as well as cogs 16, 17, 20 and then a few chains to fit the various combinations, so I can change things up with cadence, muscle tension and terrain. With these combos I can follow my training plans and not get burnt out from the same ol’ thing all the time.

I have been working on more upper body fitness. Here in norcal most rides include a lot of hours out of the saddle 14 to 40% climbs often technical at the same time. More like hours of weight lifting not spinning in granny.

Downfall is I’m not a Mutant from birth 😆

Gym work high reps and been jogging 3 or 4 days a week for balistic endurance has been working.

We went single speed when our geared rides were often 5 to 6 hours and not enough. The goal is to get that back as an old fart but with one gear.

Got the quiver of gears which is easier on the convert same chain.

Riding is life and all else is waiting
