According to the Singletracks trail ranking algorithm, it is. But is there another trail system in the UK that’s better? Kirroughtree maybe?

I have not been to Wales Afan for a long time so maybe they have added new trails. It was good and enjoyed going there but not the best. Now in Scotland Kirroughtree, Dalbeattie, and the busiest by far of the 7 Stanes MTB centres Glentress are all better each with unique features, trails and terrain. Drumlanrig Castle’s red and 8 ball trails are fun too.

South Downs Way. 100-miles Winchester to Eastbourne or 80-miles Peters field to Eastbourne, same route.  Day rides or stage cross country run.

We ended up going with both Afan and Kirroughtree for the article. Probably could’ve included Glentress. South Downs Way looks like a great bikepacking route!
