Just got back into mountain biking. I built a pretty good xc bike and I need people to ride with around Fort Collins or wherever? Let me know if you want to ride.

Fort Collins! I love Ft C. The #1 place to live according to Money magazine.

      Wish I was there. 😢

Got any pictures of the bike?

If your ever around Denver, let me know. Ive got a small group that rides all over the Front Range, and go a little further on the weekends.

I’m in Laramie, WY. If I’m in the Ft. Collins area, I’ll give ya a shout. I’m sure I’ll be looking to ride more down there when the wind start blowin’ and the cold comes up here. 😢

If you’re in Laramie, let me know.

I’m heading into my first winter in Laramie. 😢 Are there any trails in the Fort Collins area that are rideable for most of the winter??

I usually ride MTB one day on the weekend. I’m in Berthoud. I’d be happy to try and hook up with you. I’m waiting to see how much snow we get tonight to see where I’ll ride this weekend. I might try Coyote Ridge if the snow doesn’t stick around, as I need to complete that GPS track, but that one will be dangerous snowy. I’m riding an all mountain bike, so you’ll probably cook me on the uphill and flats. But I love the downhills 😃

Well, like most of Colorado, as long as the trail isn’t in the trees, the snow will be gone in a couple of days (generally). I’d think the trails along the eastern edge of Horsetooth would probably do quite well. I aim to find out this winter what remains ridable, even with snow 😀

Does anyone have a report on the trial conditions in Ft. Collins or Loveland. Are any of the foothills trails rideable? Devil’s Backbone, Blue Sky, Shoreline etc??

Dude,I havent rode ft.collins yet and want to.I dont know what the trail conditions are down there except that there probably like up here in denver.I ride Mathew’s/Winter’s at red rock’s, although it’s a pain in the butt with the snow, the ice pack isnt so bad although today we were there and it was pretty warm so the trail was sloppy in places and the snow was melting and made it pretty much crappy and no fun.I am willing to make a trip down there to ride, just let me know where you’ll be at and I can make plans to be down there.

      Ft. Collins Riders,

what are the best trails to ride in Ft. Collins to get away from the wind? Horsetooth has trees, but its high? Is it windy? How about Hewletts Gulch?

Hewlett’s Gulch is good most of the time to get away from the wind, but once you climb up to the meadow you’re fairly exposed.

Ginny Trail is an incredible ‘new’ ride over by Masonville – but it does get pretty windy up on the ridge. Killer views of teh Diamond Peaks Wilderness.

One of my favorite rides is to park at Soderberg (right between Lory SP and the reservoir) then ride up to Horsetooth Mtn Park. Then ride the service road up and take the Wathan trail. This trail then hooks up to Srping Creek and back down to your car. Fairly easy uphill, great singletrack, awesome descent.

I am actually living in Colorado Springs now. I totally forgot that I had even posted this. I’d be down to do some riding up around Denver or down in the springs or any where for that matter.

Yeah there seem to be a ton of really good trails down here. I’ve only been down here about two weeks so I’ve been riding something different everyday. I’ve never done any trails around denver and would definitely be down to check out some new terrain.
