Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this post. I own a 2005 Jamis XLT 1.0. The front shock is the stock Manitou minute 1:00.  The shock clunks when I’m riding. I took it in to have it checked out and some adjustments were made, but its still clunking. Would you folks recommend getting a new fork since this one is almost 15 now, or take in the old one for repair? It will probably cost me about $200-$250 to repair my current fork. I wouldn’t want to spend more than $400 on a new fork. If you recommend getting a new fork, which would you recommend? I like the idea of going with a coil, but I don’t think that my budget will allow for that.

On a side note. I’ve considered getting a new bike, but I’ve decided to keep it since I’ve made some upgrades to it and I’m happy with it overall. Also, I don’t ride all that much anymore but I still do and I would like to continue doing so and safely.

I thank you all for your assistance!
