Frist year MTB!

Hi all, this year is my frist year of mtbing. I am still learning the techniques same time enjoying riding outside. I been riding snice April ’09.

My bike is 2007 GT I-drive 5.0 with some upgraded stuff. I been riding southwest of Ohio such Ceaser Creek state park and MoMBA. I wanted to ride again and no idea when last time I rode a bike was in late ’90’s.

I am very motived and intersted in MTBing and joined member of CORA and been helping doing the trail works at Ceaser Creek and MoMBA.

I am deaf and married. Sometimes my wife and I rode together around the blocks.

I really love to ride trails. My goal try to ride all trails that Ohio offers plus other states during my vacation trips.

Also I am interested riding downhill trails when I am ready for it. I been trying to build a DH bike.

Hopefully, I able to meet you guys at trails all over the country!

Welcome!! Like yourself, this season has been my first back in the sport since high school. Sounds like you are very motivated (best of luck getting through all the trails in your area as well as branching out on vacations) and I’m sure that will serve you well getting into DH in the future.

Congrats on jumping aboard mate! That’s pretty cool that you joined up with CORA so soon. That’s also awesome that you get to ride with your wife every now and then, I’m sure that helps the relationship. 😉

Anyways make sure to take a good look around at all the trails in your area, and try some new ones.

How are the trails in OH? I will back home (South Central Ohio… Bellefountain/Kenton/ area), the summer of 10 and I was wondering if it will be worth bringing my bike a long.

Thanks JDH and others, I am not sure about trails in south central in Ohio. I will make some plans go there sometimes early spring around there.

Yes it is worth bring your bike to Ohio. Check the trail maps. My favortive trails are Ceasar Creek state park and MoMBA so far. The CC rocks has camp ground, boating, swimming, hiking, etc. The MTB trails pretty challenging envy level to expert level riders. CC is very hilly and very twisty curves. I haven’t mastered the trails yet but keep coming back to ride better.

you should plan a trip to Michigan. We have loads of great trails here. Would make a great weekend of camping/biking. Check us out at MMBA.org. Also you are not to far from Brown County State Park in Indiana.

JDH; Outdoornut speaks highly of riding on the Wayne National Forest in southern Ohio. I’m not sure how close that is to the area that you mentioned.
