Is anyone else freezing their @$$ off like me? Sure, I live in Georgia but it was 12 degrees here in the ATL this morning! I’m bummed too because I just got a new bike but it’s too cold to even cruise around the neighborhood.
I’m planning on joining my local MTB club to do some trail work tomorrow morning when temps are supposed to start in the teens again. Brrrrr. Hopefully things warm up as the day goes on so we can get a post-trail-work ride in…

Dude I just checked, its -1 in Chicago and 43 w/rain here in Anchorage. 😠
Our frosty bottom race tomorrow is going to be a slush festival. Sorry you have that cold from here I know its hard to ride (or anything else) in but we were kind of counting on it.
Climate Change seems to be alive and well! What kind of bike did ya get

It’s a Redline d660 29er hardtail. I plan on writing more and posting pics once I get a chance to actually ride it on dirt 😠

Cold all over – except Alaska, now thats funny. 😮 I’ve been in Cedar Falls, Iowa all week on business. It was -22 to -25 F the last 2 nights. Not sure if I could ever get used to that. So cold they couldn’t get some of the planes started. Hope I get out of here tonight.

It was mid 70’s here and expected to be same today. Of course that is without the wind chill 😀
That being said you will will get your chance to return the favor when it is 117 here!

Rode this morning at FATS at a cozy 15. I guess the 30 minute work party off- loading bricks warmed me up before the ride.

Woke up and it was in the teens – I waited until about 1:30pm when it was up to 28 to ride. Did a good 3 hour ride, it was 32 when I got done.
No problems except my jaw sort of got stiff/cramped and I couldn’t really eat or drink very well. 😐
Our forecast is for a more typical 48 tomorrow. Good riddance cold.

I’m cold, Jeff! New England winters just eliminate most biking options, so from December through February, it’s basically look at your bike and go back to doing squats at the gym. Though I’ve still got another month easily before I can get on the trail again, I’m getting my head back in the game and am onto the exercise bike again to start pushing the cardio back up. That first ride is always a burner!

Fitch,
I do not know if there are any near Boston but in southern NH, north central MA, I used to ride the snowmobile trails in winter. Worth trying sometime. A lot of fun. -brianW
