Hello I am glad to have found this site. The Blog brought me here. I look forward to interacting with you members.
I’m a 45 year old man, have a wife and two teenagers, one of which got me back into biking/mountain biking. In the last 6-months I have dropped 60 lbs. I was 237lbs and now 177! I still have about 10 lbs to go give or take. Biking and eating healthy has changed our whole family. Biking is a wonderful activity that I use in place of eating bad.
I ride 3-4 times a week, mostly on the road, but recently I bought a good hardtail that I’ve taken out to Blankets here in Woodstock 3 times in the last two weeks. Still have a ways to go to build up the cardio but really enjoying it!

Welcome!
Lots of good trails up in your area, SORBA Woodstock does a great job. Rope Mill is fun and I’ve heard the new trails at Allatoona Creek are fun as well. Happy trails!

Welcome. I am at Blankets on average twice a week. Anytime you wanna ride and have someone to push you let me know. I am not super fast so you may outrun me though.

Welcome to the site! I’ve found it to be a great resource in locating trails around the Atlanta area. I am around the same age as you (I’m 44) and have just gotten back into mountain biking after a several-year layoff. I ride Blankets and Olde Rope Mill. I also try to hit Clinton Nature Preserve 1 x week, and the closest trail to me is Yellow River in Stone Mountain, which is not very challenging but a good workout nonetheless. If you ever want to hook up for a ride, let me know.
