Just rode Downieville this past weekend. The trails are looking good, and we had a good time. It seems that the shuttle companies are not running full loads up to the top on weekends, so there were lots of available shuttle spots from Yuba Expediditions and Downieville Outfitters.
Downieville Outfitters are running their show out of a small room in town with a little trailer serving as their mechanic, shuttle start point! They also are not using the bus any longer, it is their rolling mechanic shop now. They are shuttling in 2 vans.
On an interesting note, I had to help with more injuries then I have ever had to in the past (I am a medic/first responder and always seem to be the one carrying the first-aid gear in my Camelback). I saw 3 people in the day that need stitches or more!
All in all, it was a fun trip, and yeah, the pizza was great in town at the end!
