What’s up guys? Just thought I share my first handful of part for my Sortie build. Since there is some white graphics on the frame, I eventually decided to run with the black and white theme. My first purchase, and probably most important, was my fork. I decided that if I was going to splurge somewhere, it would be here for sure.

So I went all out and got a new 2011 Fox 32 Float FIT RLC. Diamondback’s spec calls for the same fork but with 130mm travel. I decided on 140mm. It’s super light at only 3.75lbs, 15mm thru axle, and yes, equipped with Kashima Coated stanchions, which is pretty damn sexy.

I’m so looking forward to trying this bad boy out. In keeping with the black and white them I found an awesome deal on a white WTB Silverado saddle, just 34 bucks. The Silverado is very similar in design to the WTB Devo, which is currently on my Trance, and I love it.

I really like Easton Havoc series and found another great deal on a Havoc Stem, just 40 bucks. It’s nice and solid, and just looks bad ass.

Finally, I decided on a Crank Brother Iodine bar. It’s an affordable, plain-jane kind of bar. I went with 700mm out of curiosity. Just want to see how a wider bar feels. Plus, while at the bike shop this weekend I ordered a set of white Specialized Grappler grips to go with.

So that’s all for now folks! Be back soon with updates!

Very nice selection so far, I think it’s going to look sweet!! I ran a white saddle on my all black rig, and it was a sweet touch. Def keep us posted on progress with pics!!

      +1!

I just got a similar fork to review (post coming soon), and I must say, Fox does make some nice looking stuff. That Kashima coating is really cool looking. And it matches the gold cogs I use when I head up to the mtns!

The build looks great so far man, can’t wait to see it complete and hear what you think of it all!
