Devinci Spartan carbon GX vs Commencal meta v4.2 essential

Any opinions on either of these two bikes from current/previous owners? I am wondering which one climbs better (assuming they both decent equally as good) , and if the 3 settings in the rear shock on the spartan has an advantage over the meta.

I haven’t pedaled a Commencal around, but I have ridden the Devinci. It’s a very burly bike, but climbs pretty well due to it’s Dave Weagle Split-Pivot design. The Devinci has a better spec than the Commencal, but the later will take a water bottle which is nice and it’s significantly less money. At the end of the day, I don’t think you would be too disappointed with either bike, both of which I believe would perform admirably.
