Hi Bikers!
In order to get a good fit on my mtb I need to bring in my handlebars a bit. I’ve always had to customize my bars due to my body type- longer legs than torso/arms. Do any of you have any experience with either an adjustable stem or a butterfly bar? Pros or cons? Here is a link to the kind of butterfly bar I’m looking at. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I9EC4BG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AW6W1BTTYFPWI&psc=1
Does anyone here use this for mountain biking?
Thanks!

I know many folks use this type of handlebars for long-distance touring but never seen it on a Singletrack. With brake levers and shifters located so low and close to the frame it could be difficult to navigate narrow path littered with rocks and other obstacles.
Adjustable stems are usually longer then traditional mountain bike stems. The only way to know if if you like it is to try it.
Theres an alternative solution – find a professional bike fitter who will dial your bike to your body. It is costly but everyone who tried it say that was best purchase after buying a bike

Thanks bunches for your reply. I think I’m going to try a shorter stem, since mine seems to be one of the longer models- 5″ from end to end. The frame size is perfect, as is seat. I also have a local bike shop I can visit. Thanks.
