Went exploring Bussey Point with my 11 year old daughter yesterday. Bussey Point is a recreation area on Lake Thurman on the GA/SC border. The points jets out roughly 5 miles between the main branch of the Lake and the Little River Branch. Its main focus is for equestrians but hiking and biking is allowed. We stayed on the forest service roads and only saw two people on horses during our 3 hour visit. There are two different campsites to hike, ride, horse or boat to (5 miles out) and another campground at the lot. For more info and map: http://www.sas.usace.army.mil/About/Div … rails.aspx

Cadmus End had a shelter, 2 campsites and an outhouse. Horse, hike, bike or boat the only way to get there.
