Boston Area – Bike rental near trails?

Hi everyone,

I’m traveling to Boston this week and am interested if there are any bike shops that rent out bikes within pedaling distance to some cool trails. We are flying in, staying with family, so a rental that we can pedal to trails from is ideal. I think we could uber or get family to drop us off. Staying in Lynn, MA.

Does this exist? Rental and pedal to trails nearby? I’m looking for Intermediate level trails. Beautiful beginner trails are ok too. XD

Hello, Belmont wheel works in Belmont is right next to the Western Greenway, a mixed use intermediate level trail. You can easily get in 40k or so with very little repetition. The terrain is gently rolling but rocks and roots keep you in your toes. The Greenway goes thru the Belmont conservation lands, beaver Brook and several other smaller parks. It is an out and back with a lot of little side trails. I have ridden most of the trails in the area and I find this to be very enjoyable and better than most. Mainly because I can ride to it but also because it is accessible and mostly single track. Many oft theother riding areas are mostly double track, or don’t offer any variety.
