So, I think I feel ok on my bike, but recently I was in a 24 hour race and there was a photographer taking pics. He took a nice side shot of me and my beer belly on the bike. 😄

Thoughts?
I’m 5′-8"
Bike is a 17" frame
22.7" Top Tube
26" Wheels from Southern Wheel works, which I absolutely love!!
725mm wide bar
80mm stem (the lower stem was for my light that wouldn’t mount to a 31.8mm dia. bar) Its gone now and my bars are lower than they show in this picture. -

Are you saying that you don’t think your bike fits you? How does it feel when you ride?
Did you enjoy the race experience? (I haven’t tried that yet, myself…)

Beer Belly fistbump! 😎
That’s a pretty short top tube for a medium nominal size.
However, if it feels good and you can control it well .. just go with it.
I’m also 5’8" and here’s me on my 16" frame, but with a 23" top tube (and 50mm stem)

Sounds like a decent fit. Did you experience any knee or back pain?
I always think "is this bike really fit me" when looking for an excuse to buy another one. Or is 29er too big for me? 😃 -

I don’t have any knee pain or back pain. I just look huge on there. I dunno, maybe that is just the woman in me 😄
The Round and Round is awesome. I think there were 720 riders this year. We had a 5 man team, lots of beer and great fun. There are solo riders, two man, 5 man, 10 man…. the list goes on. There are riders in costume, men in bikinis, girls in bike shorts (my favorite) and dancing girls at check stations.
Its 24 hours of mountain biking. The course is 15 miles, with fast sections, technical sections and hills to go up and down and a section beside a river to cool you down.
Thanks for the input!

Am I the only person to see two stems on the OPs bike? Care to share what that’s all about?

Can’t believe I missed that! At least I’m not going crazy. It reminded me of this picture.

The bike does look small. Maybe the angle of the shot?
