      I’m kinda new here but I’ve been riding for a bit now. I hail from Manitoba, Canada where there’s few trails to stand out. I’m now living in North Central Florida where there’s a much greater diversity of trails. I ride mainly with my partner in Gainesville, and it’s craploads of fun. I’m currently studying helmet mounted lights so we can go riding at night with the recent loss of Daylight Savings Time. I hope to meet some cool people on the site. I know my friend is also a member on the site here and he’s met some fellow local riders. So, it’s nice to meet you all!

      Welcome aboard SaiyanFury. This time of year I think you are now in a much better place than Manitoba. 😃

      Hey! Hey! Welcome aboard Singletracks and to FL riding from a fellow Floridian. Glad to have another Floridian here among us fellow MTBR’s.

      If you do not mind me asking, who is your partner in Gainesville that is another member here on Singletracks.
      :

      Hey ChiliPepper, his name on the forum here is, GALAXY. He’s actually another guy I met on another forum several years ago that I ended up having a tonne in common with. I’ve never been to Santos as it’s a bit far away from me. GALAXY goes on occasion, but I’ve yet to go.

      @CraigCreekRider

      I couldn’t agree more. I couldn’t stand the climate up in Manitoba. 6 months of the year there’s snow on the ground and ir really wasn’t much fun. Especially after I slipped and broke my ankle for the first time in 26 years. After that, I was especially motivated to come down here and marry my wife. 😀

      Haha yeah he mentioned to me in a PM that it was you he’s been riding with in the recent past. I might make it down, but I’ve kinda been in financial straits lately, so I haven’t been able to travel much. I can barely make it into Gainesville to ride with him lately. I don’t know if I could get away from my wife for an entire weekend, but I’m sure she’d have no problem with it. As for big drops and stuff, I’m still kinda green on the whole thing so I’m not quite that daring just yet. 😛

      As for the weather, it’s infinitely preferable to Manitoba’s unbearable climate. During the winter months it gets down as low as -40 degrees, so of course riding is only doable about 6 months of the year. Kinda crappy if you’re an enthusiast. Winter down here is paradise compared to the alternative.

      Not to mention,SaiyanFury here is nocturnal and gets up about 3pm so Santos is out of the question and San Felasco is almost a stretch, haha. The lights will definitely save our asses on the Rock trail though!.

      Chili, this is my buddy that picked up the Snare and kicked me down his old bike so he is the reason I was able to even go to Santos the last 2 times…we’ll get him a better shock for that Snare and it’ll be Santos ready if we can get ya to go!!! Haha.

      Would love for all 3 of our families to head down and camp for a weekend at some point,be a load of fun, maybe springtime.

      Hehe, that’s a character from an anime called Bleach. His name is Hollow Ichigo. Rockin’ anime if you’re into that sort of thing. I am a huge geek afterall.

      Haha thanks man. I’m still kinda green to riding in Florida, but I do what I can to learn. I’m becoming more comfortable with the topography of the area so it’s coolness. We need to go at night after we get the lights. 😛

      Chili-man, as far as I know my Snare rocks save for the back 850 lb. spring which is stiffer than a Manhattan hooker. I’m gradually getting acclimated to FL trails since they’re different from any others I’m accustomed too.

      I know you were kidding around with the lessons, but any advice is welcome, of course. I’m still kinda green, my Snare is the first real full suspension bike that I’ve had so I’m still learning the ins and outs of trail riding down here. 😛

      He’ll tell you that rear shock desperately needs changed and I know you and I both agree as well as SF.

      He’s doing good Chili,he’s tried more and more each time and he’s nailin shit! Not ready for vortex/DJ section at santos but blue trails he’d kill on.Some of the red in a month or two but no drops or bridges.

      SF is actually headed over to attempt my bridge in an our or so.
