Mountain bike job: Photographer

I’ve written a couple times about mountain bike jobs (here and here) and somehow I keep finding other jobs I’ve overlooked. The latest gig I found is mountain bike photographer and if you’re looking for a role model, Seb Rogers seems like a pretty good guy to look up to. His portfolio is pretty amazing …

Mountain bike patrol

A while ago I posted a list of bike jobs and apparently I overlooked one mountain biking occupation: mountain bike police. Yep, there’s even a Police Mountain Bike Association and this year’s annual conference will be held in Baton Rouge. Last year more than 300 people attended the conference and this year’s conclave will take …

New cycling rollers

I just got some rollers for my road bike and I’m scared to death of them. I was so excited when Leah brought them home Friday that I immediately jumped on the bike to give it a try. First, though, a little background. I read on a number of forums that riding a carbon frame …

Mountain bikers seeking sponsorship

Action Profiles is a (relatively) new website that helps action sports riders (surfers, skaters, mountain bikers, etc.) promote themselves and find sponsors. Right now there are just over 200 mountain bikers with profiles (like MySpace) which is pretty cool. Singletracks has a profile and we’re considering sponsoring riders with t-shirts, free premium memberships, etc. This …
