Pisgah and Nantahala National Forests in western North Carolina are home to some of the best mountain bike trails on the east coast and the Forest Service is revising their land management plan which could impact MTB use in the forest. Here’s a link to all the official info for those interested in wading through it.
Most of us will probably tl;dr this one so here’s the jist: let the Forest Service know you’re opposed to timber production in areas of the forest where there are existing trails and that you’re opposed to new Wilderness designations in areas currently open to mountain bikes.
