Cam Zink has been practicing for weeks for his attempt at setting a Guinness World Record: the longest dirt-to-dirt mountain bike or BMX backflip. Last night at the X-Games at Mammoth Mountain, Zink stomped the flip handily, setting a new world record of 100 feet and 3 inches!

Zink hit a top speed of 46 MPH on a 910ft runway before flipping 100 feet into the Eastern Sierra night and absolutely stomping the landing. In setting the new Guinness world-record, Cam surpassed his own unofficial record of 78 feet, set in Moab, UT last year.
As impressive a feat as it was, it sounds like this could be just the beginning for Zink, who said 150 and even 200ft could be in his future.
The event will air again Sunday, August 24 at 2p.m. EST as part of ABC’s “World of X-Games” show.
