Trail Description
About this trail
The trailhead is the starting point for both trails 25 and 25A. 25 is a good out and back ride, all up hill out and all down hill back. It can also be ridden as a loop if you have 5 or more hours to spend on a trail.

As a loop you can ride east up trail 25A and then hike and ride across the ridge on trail 8 from the flank of North Baldy towards South Baldy. Trail 25 splits off of trail 8 about ~2 miles south of North Baldy. Trail 25 is all single track and descends down the ridgeline west from trail 8.

Review: High in the hills for this trail on tight singletrack. Expect tough climbs and farily steep grades. Few were anywhere in the area while there.

Review: Ill try to be more helpful than the previous poster. Trail 25 is not a bike trail. I realize that being marked as hiking only wont stop you from riding this trail, but I give the trail one star for the climb and maybe a four coming down. I'm visiting from sea level and may be admittedly scewed. I had a hard time finding any details about these trails. I debated doing the loop but after driving down from ABQ, I didnt have five hours to burn. I rode trail 25 out and back. It starts at about 7800' and I climbed to about 9200'. The first half is about a 10 degree incline and the path has no 'lines' so avoiding tons of energy killing rocks is impossible. I probably hiked over 2/3 of the climb...which being at sea level a week ago didn't help, but I've been riding White Mesa and Otera (& surrounding) all week with minimal hiking. If you live in the area, bring extra water and give it a shot. If you're from out of town, you probably live nearer better trails.
