After a long climb a SUPER DH and beautiful trails!
We did this tour 12 sept 2015. We started in Bayerisch Eisenstein. The tour runs clock wise. From Eisenstein it's a forest road up, but beautiful. At the top the tour continues as a descent on a nice forest trail. At the end of this trail you finish on a forest road. But instead of turning left and following the forest road, continue the trail on the otherside. You'll get back to the gps track but nice trail riding instead of forest road. Into the little village of Brechhäuslau you find yourself on normal tarmac road. Just before you turn right on the Waldhausstraße there is a nice 4x4 trail which brings you back on gps track at Zwieslerwaldhaus (everything to avoid tarmac). Then the long ascent begins over a forest road all the way tot the top of Großen Falkenstein. Here you can have a nice rest in the mountain hut with kuchen, drinks and a magnificient view! Take your time because now the fun starts!!!
From 1315m back to 640m, a downhill from about 6km! Awesome and intense rocky forest trail ride! In Ludwigsthal you keep following the track till you get to Regenhütte, instead of turning left, turn right over the brige and immediately left on the trail of the lynx! This is a beautiful technical root track all the way back to Eisenstein! Enjoy your ride!
