Review: This trail system would be a 5 if there where trail signs. There are no trail signs to tell you where you are at all. The 1st day there I spent a lot of time looking for the freeride area. I highly suggest downloading Trailforks so you can see where the Onion trail is and use the gps to get you there. Same with Stoner's Secret Stash and FMR. The freeride area is def in the Onion trail area. Getting up there sucks big balls since you hafta guess on how to get there. Some steep climbs. I finally was able to kinda figure out where I was on the 2nd day. I highly suggest maybe connecting with a local to guide you. The freeride trails are sick fun and have big jumps, gaps, tables, drops, etc. Flows really well but finding it sucks! If they had some trail signs here it would be 5 stars no problem!

Review: I couldn't find it at all, so I can't say whether it was good or bad. Next time I'm in Traverse City I would really like to ride this.

Review: Has tons of potential. Not well marked. Also the jumps are all larger than I'm comfortable with but great to work up to. Also biking to the top is quite difficult... I usually walk up if going to the free ride section and this is the only trail that I walk on.

Review: This has potential to be a great freeride skills park but in its current state it leaves a lot to be desired. Inadequate signage, no trail map, it's hard to know where you're going or where to go. Additionally many of the features were in need of maintenance and some (presumably) sections of the trail are overgrown and covered in leaves. Copper Ridge is a far cry from a "beginner" freeride/dh area (Cannonsburg skills park, Crystal Mountain). While there are some reasonably intermediate features like the tabletop jumps and some small gap jumps, and 3-5' drops, many of the features are massive -- a 20' bridge drop is one of the first features you'll see hiking to the top, an enormous step down gap jump, etc.

Review: I came here after seeing the review that said "great intro to freeride". With that in mind, I was upset. The features saw, 90% of them are well beyond "intro". I am by no means an expert but I ride Crystal Mountain often enough and my local skills part to be able to hit some decently midsized features. Everything here was too big for me. Would also be a good idea to have at least 5 inches of full suspension, a triple crown bike would not be overkill. Maybe there are some beginner and intermediate areas, but if so, I couldn't find them. It really is a maze, and it is not well signed at all. Ride with caution, and preferably with someone who knows their way.
