Stairway to Heaven is Pinehurst Park's main climbing trail. Generally, the further you go the harder it gets. At the bottom, the trail is fast, flowy, and nearly flat. Then, as you progress into the middle section of the trail, rocks and roots start to crop up, the grade gets a little higher, and the switchbacks get a little tighter. The grand finale is the top: an off-camber climb over trees, roots, and rocks with a couple really steep sections thrown in there to wear riders out. However, if you get to the top, you get to ride one of Pinehurst's awesome downhill trails!
