Trail Description
About this trail
Well, first, it is private property that has been changing hands a lot recently, so keep a low profile just in case the most recent landowner cares about bikers. It is a relatively easy trail, lots of fun, not too much technicality to it. its on a side of a hill just like most bike trails, and so theres a lot of hills. it is a really fast singletrack, its not a track you want to go to if you are concerned about technicality - its just there for people to do really fast. there is 1 hill that is somehwat technical, though - it has a lot of large roots all over the hill, however, there are lots of flat spots on it to get back on the bike if you get stopped. overall it is my favorite trail in winston.

Review: This trail was a real gem. I nice change of pace that I always rode a few times every year. Sorry to see it gone.

Review: Unfortunately, this trail is practically gone. Although the trail is still partially intact, bull dozers have already started clearing trees, esp. at the trailhead. To make matters worse, the last two hurricanes to come through the southeast have sent storms through that knocked down trees, limbs and debris.

Review: Ride this one while you can, cuz' it looks as if it may nt be around much longer. The last time I went, there were orange markers everywhere.

It's a great trail, built by Randy Shields a few years back so I was told. It's got a big variety of terrain: smooth, fast singletrack, some weaving areas, roots galore, a few rocks, some good climbs and some fast descents.

Review: Fun trail - difficult to find your way out once you go in. Good idea to place marker where trail splits from the trailhead. Easy trail to get back into the saddle.
