Review: Im not sure what has happened since 2018 but this is by far the funnest one I have ridden to date. Well maintained. Lots of turns and slightly more technical than what I am used to. The views are amazing. What really got me was on an uphill and when i finally reach the top you can see lake hickory and it was pretty amazing.

Review: This trail was just some backyard teens project prior to the $100k revamp in 2018. Much improved! But could be much better. Still "rooty" in many sections. Rocky in others. Some parts are very narrow with roots to boot. It has many flows, but does not flow entire trail due to obstacles above. Still, as mentioned, much, much better than before. Rated intermediate, but I would say a high-intermediate. 6-mile loop. The more fun trail is the beginner trail in the same park. It is only 2.25 miles, but everybody loves it. You will find the shredder, "semi-pro" guys on it on down to the little kids. This speaks to how much better it is than the intermediate trail. Flows for most of the trail. Excellent job on that trail!

Review: I'm not gonna lie to you guys (and gals), from the other reviews I was expecting something a bit less intense. First off, this trail is more like a network of trails. You can ride it twenty ways and not ride it the same way twice. Some sections are easier and some are harder, but all are super fun. I'm rating this trail as advanced based on its hardest parts (rooty/technical and steep uphill climbs) but don't let that scare you off. These trails are a ton of fun and a great way to practice technique.

Review: In my opinion this is the best place to ride in the Hickory area. Unlike most places you can choose which trails you want to ride. Instead of one trail or track here there are many trails combined together. You can start at the first trail and flow right into the rest of them or ride on a bit and find another trail that looks intriguing. The trails themselves are mostly single track and are fairly rough. For me this is the ideal riding trails. Keeping your momentum here is key to a smooth ride. Amongst the many lines and switchbacks you'll find some decent short climbs as well as some very fun downhill sections. Everyone on the trails are very friendly and are eager to lend advice or a helping hand. My girlfriend has no problem riding any of these trials and she is a beginner. Go hit the trails and have some fun !

Review: Had fun here, not to extreme but tough enough. Rode around here I think 4-5 times so far & seem to always take different routes. That's not a bad thing I like that there are forks & different options. Never far from the paved road either so if you have equipment failure, or had enough it's easy to bail out.

Review: All around a solid trail. This trail will work you though. Great for training and cardio. Intermediate skill level ... can be very difficult for beginners. Very rooty ... through most sections, relatively technical, nice downhills, lengthy climbs, drops, crossings. Easy to skip sections if wanted. Fairly easy to follow. Dries quickly. Not too bad when wet (sopping) even with slick roots. Not too many riders on the trails at once. Nice pump/jump track between trail sections.
(warning to those who are afraid of snakes ... there are quite a lot of black snakes during spring/summer months)* Review edited 5/19/2012* Review edited 5/19/2012
