Trail Description
About this trail
Besides Double Lake and Huntsville this is probably the least hilly and mostly smooth course in Texas. Still lots of creek crossings between miles 6 and 8 to keep it fun. Also a few small drops here and there and a cool bridge you cross under and then later over. A little over 8 miles in all, the soil is not typical clay and therefore dries fast after a rain. Google Solovaca Ranch for more particulars and photos. 4# to ride. Also a venue on teh Texas Race circuit.

Review: Solavaca is a very fun trail with a lot of loose rocks. There are a couple of fun creek crossings and some sections that weave between trees. Signage is pretty good and I never had to wonder where to go. The dog at the trailhead is very friendly and will supervise everything you do until you hit the trail. Difficulty is definitely intermediate with some downhills/climbs that I would say are borderline black diamond. Overall It is very well maintained and a good challenge for intermediate riders. Until next time - I'llRideYourBike

Review: First ride here and it is much harder than the videos I watched. Would definitely recommend pads as there is lots of loose rock and downhill areas with potential for falls. Some places the average rider will just have to get off and walk up/down. There is a good mix of easy, intermediate and hard. My wife rides about once a month on average and it was very tough on her but she survived. No really long climbs and some fun downhill areas. Creek area is the most challenging. Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend it!

Review: Very nice trail. Lots of options and well marked. I'm just getting back into this so it kicked my butt. Expect some cardio. Look forward to going back.

Review: This is a great 8.5 mile loop than has a bit of everything. The owner does a good job of keeping the trails up. I have raced out here with TMBRA before. Though there are not any long hills, the back creek section offers some short grinding climbs. There are about 5 creek crossings that are usually no deeper than a 2 inches. This trail has great flow for any intermediate rider. Beginners may find some sections too technical.

Review: This is a really nice trail! The owners of this land have done a fantastic job of creating a MTB trail that everyone can use! I took my 10 year old daughter out here to ride and it was really nice to have bypass options for beginners and young riders. The trail is very well marked and the bypasses always hook back up to the main trail. If you are looking for a great trail with a little bit if everything, Solovaca has it, rock gardens, technical climbs and descents, creek crossings, fast singletrack sections, and more. Go check it out, it's worth the trip!

Review: A network of trails 8.1 miles in length. Crosses a creek a handful or more times. Mainly smooth with some rock drops here and there. A great CAT3 to intermediate trail. Dries quickly. Open Thurs thru Sundays and 3$ to ride is a bargain.
