Mountain Biking Slalom

**   Add a review
#951 of 1,368 mountain bike trails in Colorado
#11,877 in the world

Most of the Breckenridge trails are two-way, shared use, cross-country style of track but not Slalom - it's a genuine mountain bike flow trail! It's a mile long. The altitude drop is about 400 feet. It's not steep so it's not chewed up with braking bumps. It features swooping berms and some little jumps. The biggest berm is a beaut - it's built into the gangue from the historic Naperville Tunnel Mine!

Probably the best way to get to it is from the Upper Flume Trail. That takes you to the bottom but you can ride up, turn around and ride back down.

Getting there
You best way to the Slalom track is to ride the Flume Loop in northern Breckenridge. Slalom terminates on the north east end of Upper Flume. From there you can ride up it, take in the view from the top of Gold Run Gulch Road, turn round and ride back down. To get to the top of the trail by car head north out of Breckenridge, turn right into Huron Road, continue onto Forest Hills Drive, which takes you to Gold Run Drive also known as Gold Run Gulch Road. The trail starts near the top of the hill, just 3.5 miles from downtown Breck.
