Mountain Biking Single Track Trail

  Add a review
#80 of 99 mountain bike trails in Alabama
#18,243 in the world

Length: 1.2 mi.

Surface: Natural (muddy spots after a rain).

Difficulty/Use: Moderate/designed for mountain/trail biking and hiking.

Access Points: South access--from the bridge near the South Parking Lot, cross the field to the first kiosk. Look to your left (west) for the trail sign at the edge of the woods.

North access--from the entrance road to the Pete Peterson Lodge.

The Cross Country Trail was specifically designed and built for mountain/trail biking and hiking. Heavily shaded, it is a single track (narrow path) that twists and turns through the woods with sudden, sharp elevation changes and several narrow bridge crossings. Cyclists and hikers be alert! Watch out for each other and the frequent chipmunk crossings.
