Trail Description
About this trail
Nothing like it in lower Michigan at all. While not a long trail it has a lot to offer; One really steep long climb and just when you think you are at the top it turns hard left for a bit more. There are two river crossings the first being a lot deeper. Another switchback hill climb with really sharp turns. A fast decent that leads into chicane which goes into another short steep climb. One steep short decent, a handful of bridges, rocks and roots.

Review: After reading the reviews seemed like it would be worth the drive to check it out, but I was wrong. Completely over grown, bridges dilapidated , only one little area with climbs and drops. Nice, clean, friendly camp ground. Unless I missed something I would not bother to go there to bike

Review: This trail stands out amoungst SE MI trails, big climbs with switchbacks, fast technical downhills, sweet flowy rollers, awesome bridgework including a 3 tier switchback bridge section that lets out to a tall berm around a wicked corner, and the interesting creek crossing where you must ride (or hike) your bike across Mill Creek which varies in depth and current but was about 6" to 10" deep when we rode across. Overall pretty technical super fun trail system that is unique. Only reason I didn't give it a 5* rating was because after crossing thru the creek the back mile had so many overgrown thorn bushes and down trees you were hopping off your bike every 500 feet. Otherwise a must ride and a beautiful trail.

Review: Too technical for me...always seem to injure myself out there.

Review: Past reviews are accurate. Kudos to the private campground for not charging an arm and a leg- only $2 to park and ride.

Trail was muddy in parts - don't think it drains that well.

Really tough climbs, rewarding difficult descents.

Decent flow.

River crossing makes this just a summer trail for me. Overall very nice, fun trail. I have family in port Huron so I'm happy I can bring my bike when I visit.

Review: Trail with some switchbacks, good climbs, and short but fast downhills. 2 river crossings. However, it's not marked terribly well after you cross the river, and I ended up going the same way I came up, and never did notice where I got turned around. But I did go by myself, maybe go with a local, and you wouldn't have a problem.

Review: While only 5.5 miles long it has loads to offer. From short steep climbs to one really long one, a few river crossings, off camber twists and turns, a nice flowing decent. It is pretty well marked.

Similar Trail: Thee really is nothing like this trail in lower Michigan but Addison Oaks, Maybury, Stony Creek are all just as fun but in a way different way
