Review: Mt. Rose to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is THE Tahoe area ride. Having the Toad's section, with its technical rock gardens and drops, the last 8 miles is pure evil genius. 100k is a lengthy ride. Do not come unprepared. The distance to help, should you injure yourself, is arduous and long. Not recommended for solo travel.
The route does afford exceptional views of Lake Tahoe, and you get to see vistas from the North to the South. Water caching will be necessary for anyone attempting to ride the trail in a day.
