Trail Description
About this trail
The River Trail Greenway runs along the Arkansas River all the way from Marvin Park to Franz Lake, by way of Sand Lake. This 1.7-mile trail is all relatively flat, wide, and consists of crushed gravel. For mountain biking, this is about as easy as it gets, but if you're looking for a chill afternoon cruise with a non-biking friend or significant other with great views of the river, this is a great choice!

Review: Great ride with our grandkids, easy enough for them. We actually finally found the trailhead on N St on the south side of the ball field that then followed the Arkansas River north to Franz Lake (it's street riding from J St otherwise).

Review: While relatively unremarkable, this is still a great trail to have in the community for an easy spin, or to connect over to CR 175 easily from downtown, thanks to the brand-new addition, without having to get on Hwy 291.
