Review: Fun, punchy little semi-technical loop - very rooty and quite a few sub-baby head size rock gardens.

Most users of this site will prefer the mtb specific loop, marked by a knobby tire bike icon and snowshoer. Keep following these icons and you'll stay on the good stuff. The other trails (red and blue) allow bikes but appear flatter and more appealing to hikers (did not ride). Oh, and bring five bucks.

Review: Everything from paved trail to a skills park with legit drops and a teter-toter. Red trail was a well designed, challenge by choice trail. Trails are well signed. I look forward to coming back again.

Review: Once I figured out where I was going I had a great time. I took the MTB trail over towards the bathrooms and followed that to the paved trail where I turned left and followed that for a little bit, but then I thought "this can't be the right way" and turned around and went to the other trails that were for hiking/skiing/biking. Once I was on there for a mile or two I noticed another MTB sign and though, "huh that's odd" So I then followed that and that was the true single track.

The next day I came back and followed the entire single track trail. I'm a much better wide open, higher speed, downhill flows nicely to the next uphill type rider. I'm not very good at the tighter twisty, technical humping it up rooty climbs single track type rider. I really did love this trail though and seeing as how you can ride on the hiking trails, the mileage can really add up. It is definitely a workout and had some really good challenges on the trails. I will hit this trail when I get back up to this area definitely!

Don't forget to check out the skills area too. Had a blast!

Review: Love this trail. Minocqua area is really expanding MTN trails. The Raven is a classic old school trail with tight single track & enough flow to keep things exciting. The skills course is challenging to all. Way to go LAMBO! Also check out new Zip Line trail for more flow/berms.

Review: I have to make a second review of this trail. I have ridden it a lot in the last couple years, but things are taking a turn for the worse. The loops that had great singletrack are now rerouted to old logging road that have no dirt trail just rough cut grass. Every loop looped back to the parking lot, now they just stop with a sign that says "no bikes hikers only" So now you have to back track and try to find a trail that gets out. All of the maps are now outdated and wrong and hikers try to run the bikes out but are not required to pay a trail pass like bikes.

Review: I feel totally comfortable rating this as one of Wisconsin's a 5-star trails.

The local bike club (LAMBO) has been busy building new single track, providing options, and re-routing some older, sketchy trails. In the past, signage was lacking, but in 2015, the DNR got up maps at every intersection.

The singletrack now pretty much encompasses the whole trail and has a variety of different variations - from technical singletrack to fast flow trail.

The beginning starts out as an easy warmup, but soon you will find a twisty piece of trail that rambles up through the woods to overlook Clear Lake.

From there, you have options to take a fast bomber, or ride along the ridge. The later provides another couple of options to either follow a fast flow track line, or stick with the singletrack line to the bottom. Both trails bring you to the same place.

And that is kind of how the rest of the trail goes. As you ride, keep your eyes open for rideable boulders, jumps, berms, rock gardens, log piles, and hidden tracks to secret spots!

There is also a fun little skills course that has skinnies, teeter totters, and a sweet log ride/teeter totter/skinny.

Review: Multiple skill levels, lengths, and widths. This is a trail system not a single trail. Can spend all day here.

Review: Haven't been to a lot of different trails, but I go here regularly. Good amount of climbing and technical stuff, and they have a separate skills area. I like that it's not to popular, I often don't see anyone else while riding. It is limited on length the large loop being around 5 miles. nice parking, but the trails could be marked a little better.

Review: Pretty easy to find and a good selection of trails. I rode the expert one and it had some great technical areas close to the view of Crystal Lake. There is a monster hill descent then climb that was pretty fun. Only wish it had some more rolling sections to balance out the ride. Great trail to ride and would definitely recommend. The trails are a little hard to follow sometimes as there are multiple trails with multiple cross points.

Review: Rode Raven for first time today and did Blue loop with less experienced riders. Wider XC ski trail with mostly grass and some rocky sections. Good training loop for Cheq Fat Tire.

Also rode skills loop and VERY impressive. Very challenging obstacles, including loooong bridges. Surprisingly, no logs.
