Trail Description
About this trail
Poncha Creek Road is a 4x4 road that climbs from the Shirley town site all the up to the top of Marshall Pass. During the summer, this is a good dirt road route, and is also the end of the Monarch Pass to Starvation Creek shuttle.
However, during the winter, Poncha Creek Road, as well as Marshall Pass road, are maintained for snowmobiling, which makes this an excellent place to fat bike!

Review: I used this dirt road to quickly escape lightning on the Monarch Crest in the summer of 2013. It was a fun, high-speed descent with plenty of spots to get some air. Most of the road is beginner friendly, but a few areas were quite chewed up, creating some technical fun. The best part was ripping past some ATV's that were also descending.

Review: Decent dirt road, and a nice place to fat bike during the winter.
